The S-boom telescopic booms by Genie have been equipped with a reach ranging from 9.65 meters and 24.38 meters and an ability to work in heights of 14.20 meters to 40.15 meters. Telescoping booms have a much greater range of reach horizontally than compared to other kinds of aerial work platforms. Genie telescopic booms are engineered with consideration to being able to access confined places during industrial and construction jobs. They are also recognized for their ability to quickly maneuver through a job site with great traction and drive speed. The platform hydraulically turns 160° and could stay level through the whole range. Front-entry platforms are available from 1.83 meters to 2.44 meters and come with 227 kilogram to 272 kilogram capacity for operators and tools. 360° continuous rotating turntables provide quick, easy positioning for operators.
The Z-135/70 model has a telescoping jib, called the Jib-Extend, that goes from 3.66 meters to 6.1 meters. This unit could also reach 110° vertically to give the user the ability to reach jobs that were unreachable by conventional jibs before. The Z-80/60 model's secondary reverse-articulating boom gives the user 8.83 meters of up and over reach. This feature allows up and over reaching tasks to be done with zero front arm swing.
The Fast Mast System built by Genie allows for time to be saved when both primary and secondary booms platform needs to either be lowered or lifted without needing to lower the secondary boom. The Fast Mast system enables both booms to be fully elevated simultaneously. Both of these features of the Genie Fast Mast system lessens the time needed for users to descend and ascend, increasing both effectiveness and productivity.
