A lift truck to be a successful model should be built strong to last the working environments for many hours of use. It should be able to transport loads quickly and effectively as well. The machinery should also be ergonomically correct and comfortable for the operator.
Yale's powertrain is both rugged and dependable. The powertrain needs the power to always offer great durability through its computer-managed transmission and engine. It offers state-of-the-art clutch packs along with really tough shafts and strong gears. The transmission, engine, steer axle and drive are all isolated to reduce vibration and noise inside the compartment of the operator.
GM & Mazda Gas & LP Engines:
Mazda's LP engine and GM's gas engines utilize cast iron blocks to promote long life. These kinds of machinery provide an electronically-controlled closed loop fuel system that requires minimum repair or adjustment. These engines also have hardened exhaust valve seats which minimize wear.
Yanmar and Cummins Diesel Engines:
Inside the Yanmar and Cummins diesel engines, a high compression ratio provides exceptional torque. Amazing fuel consumption is provided by efficient fuel systems.
Standard Electronic Powershift Transmission:
The electronic powershift transmission is standard on the majority of equipment. It features gears which are 15 percent stronger and shafts that provide resistance when driving on rough terrain. The strong clutch packs offer 3 times the life of preceding packs. Last of all, there is electronic inching available that adjusts automatically so as to lessen maintenance requirements by compensating for brake wear.
Techtronix Transmission:
The Techtronix Transmission utilizes computer-controlled power reversal to eliminate shock loading, increase durability and extend the life of the tires. Additionally, the auto deceleration feature reduces break pedal usage and break wear.
Drive Axle:
The Drive Axle is designed for added strength with its full floating, brake drum mounting axle shaft and the strong ring and pinion gears. This part also has optional oil cooled wet disc brakes which are practically maintenance free and entirely sealed against contamination.
Steer Axle:
To protect the steer cylinder for damage and debris, the Steer Axle features a "sandwich" design. This Steer Axle also has a fixed-length tie rods that can add more durability and stability. The tapered roller bearings help to resist front to back and side-to-side forces. Additionally, cast ductile iron axle reduces wear and increases toughness.
Yale had made numerous safety features and ergonomic features part of their standard packages. These equipment will handle tough environments, while keeping the operator comfortable and safe for the length of their shift.
