Telescopic forklifts
Telescopic forklifts provide height and versatility. These units are outfitted with a pronged lift on an arm which extends over the top of the truck. The arm, or crane, is known as a telescopic boom. The boom allows the operator to raise the load to great heights while maintaining a high degree of control. Standard lift trucks could not move the load towards and away from the forklift cab, while a telescopic forklift can allow that movement. The telescopic forklift is commonly utilized in agriculture and construction. It is better for applications where greater control and lift is needed.
In cases requiring high volume carton handling, hydraulic attachments called forklift carton clamp attachments are better. The attachment has arm pads with four way reversible rubber linings that allow the operator to apply uniform clamping force when picking up a cargo. It comes with a backrest that protects the loads from damage.
A slip sheet attachment fits onto a slip sheet forklift. It is utilized for storing systems which don't use pallets. The attachment clamps onto the slip sheet and pulls it onto the forklift forks. This kind of system is useful for overseas shipments and intra-corporate deliveries.
A man basket is a lift platform designed particularly to lift staff. The basket attaches to the forklift forks, held in with a strap or chain that is to be directly secured to the forklift carriage. The platform has railings to protect the employees from falling to the ground. Brackets on the platform are used for fastening the safety harness of the worker.
