Articulating Booms - Electric and Bi-Energy
The Bi-Energy and Genie DC equipment produced by Terex provide emission-free and quiet operation in the most sensitive work applications. Like for example, in industrial settings where the machine should travel large distances, the Genie bi-energy system combines the flexibility and advantages of a diesel fueled generator with a 48 Volt DC machinery.
Key characteristics which this combination provides is over, out and up positioning capabilities for complete flexibility. Additionally, the zero tail-swing offered by nearly all models, combined with the tight turning radius offers easy maneuvering through narrow aisles and standard doors.
Drive controls and proportional lift controls also offer smooth drive performance and precise boom positioning. The 48V DC electric drive system offers quiet and emission free operation suitable for sensitive settings. There are jib boom models available to function with an additional working range for particular jobs. On non-jib models, there is a self-leveling platform that rotates to either side at an angle of 90 degrees.
Articulating Booms - Diesel Engine
The Terex Genie is ideal for industrial applications and outdoor construction applications. This particular model offers engine-powered articulating Z booms which combine extreme lifting versatility and out, over and up positioning capabilities. The outreach offered by this model is second to none in the market.
The diesel engines with articulating booms provide zero tail-swing on most models and have a tight turning radius. These machinery are great for maneuvering in confined locations. In addition, they offer grade and terrain maneuverability, supreme power and excellent torque. The diesel engines are generally quiet as well. The majority of models have active oscillating axle and full time drive positive drive traction system to offer great flexibility on surfaces that are uneven and rough.
The 4 or 2 wheel drive models, offer the rough terrain features and high ground clearance which make these desirable to add to any fleet. The jib boom types are available and provide added range capabilities. On non-jib models, the self-leveling platform also rotates to 90 degrees on these models as well.
