When it comes to the warehousing and manufacturing industries, the lift truck application all over the world has continued to grow. Over the last decades, the equipment has really grown and the designs have changed so there are many modern designs and a variety of trucks to suit every particular application. Loads are capable of reaching and lifting to greater heights than ever before.

Lift truck models are available in a wide variety of different power types like: diesel, gasoline, electric, diesel and liquid propane or LP models. The load capacities of these models range greatly as there are a lot of manufacturers building and designing them. Like for instance, several units could reach a height of over 3000 mm or more than 10,000 kg.

The frame of the truck is the base of the power source and is the place where the other features are attached. These many features consist of an overhead guard, mast and axles, and the counterweight. On the back side there is a counterweight connected to the truck. This counterweight counterbalances the cargo which is being lifted so as to keep the machine stable.

The operator sits in a cab and uses the controls to dictate the equipment's movements. The overhead is one more feature, that is a metal roof in order to protect the operator from falling objects. Hydraulic tilt cylinders mounted to the mast and the frame. These tilts turn the mast in order to engage the load. The mast is a vertical assembly that lowers and raises the cargo with the interlocking rails to provide lateral stability.

There are many warehouses or businesses in the manufacturing fields that utilize lift trucks for transportation and lifting every day. Nowadays, there are many different used and new forklifts offered in the market at competitive prices. Those who depend on occasional lifting and transportation could use rental forklifts as they are available as well.
